Florida Blueprint Commission on Juvenile Justice
The Community Foundation of North Florida, which will serve as the fiscal sponsor for this project, is a public charity that promotes and facilitates long-term charitable giving. This grant supports the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice’s Blueprint Commission efforts to develop a plan for reform and to build consensus for that reform among stakeholders and the public.
Founded in 1996, Fight Crime: Invest in Kids is a national bipartisan organization of 3,500 police chiefs, sheriffs, district attorneys, and victims of violence. Its mission is to build public policy and policymaker support for research-based social and educational programs that both help children develop into healthy, productive adults, and reduce crime and violence. This grant provides general operating support.
Technical Assistance to the W. Haywood Burns Institute
The Institute builds the planning and evaluation capacity of social change organizations to increase their effectiveness. This grant supports the refinement of the W. Haywood Burns Institute’s program model and its preparation for a possible evaluation.
